Smallville’s just another TV show I opted for due to various reasons: I like watching TV series, I adore when good wins evil. Besides, I wanted to figure out in what way this superhero (aka Superman) differs from his previous look-alikes. Sure thing film industry (as well as film makers and writers) tries to bring movies up to standards. It will never be the same, but it does all the best to be the first in this field.
Why people can’t live without supernatural and out of the ordinary talents and abilities? It goes without saying that all of us want to be or at least seem good-looking, handsome, smart, strong and immortal. Probably, we also feel a shortage of mystery and incredibility in our lives.
Let’s get back to the subject. What about Smallville? It sounds like a small village, inhabitants of which are common people running through their lives in vain. A small town tells a story of a teenage Clark Kent in those days when the destiny just trained him to be Superman. This tranquil place changed a lot after his arrival in a spaceship in the midst of a meteor storm of green rocks.
About: Smallville is an American television series created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, and was initially broadcasted by The WB. After the fifth season, the WB and UPN merged to form The CW, which is the current broadcaster for the show in the United States. Smallville premiered on October 16, 2001, and completed its sixth season on May 17, 2007. A seventh season was officially announced by The CW on May 16, 2007, and premiered on September 27, 2007. Dont think this show like an action oriented series just because of Superman! It’s perfect, very beautifully filmed with superb special effects.
Content: Out of sight, Smallville is a small town in Kansas. This is a place where a child Clark (as Tom Welling) came to Earth along with a meteor shower. He’s Superman, a son of Jonathon and Martha Kent, who adopted him. The couple understands the kid is not from Earth. Although some people have become gifted with special powers, many other townsmen suffered from Krypton stones.The show doesn’t tell us about Superman himself, but displays his relationships with family and friends. It also refers to his friend Lex Luthor, his first love Lana Lang. Perhaps the most important point, however, is that Clark saves many people and he doesn’t want to be crowned with laurels. He’s not ambitious, but uses his special powers (strength, heat vision, x-ray vision, speed) with benefit.
