In spite of the fact that well-known online video-sharing service is under a ban in a number of countries, others condemn their actions and bring an action against the owners, it keeps on gaining its popularity. Anyway, amateurs and just addicted to video guys enable to watch free videos online owing to YouTube, Dailymotion, Revver, Google, iMovie, etc.
Since YouTube came into existence, folks used to download and upload short-length films of poor quality. On the one hand, it’s an opportunity to watch and save free videos if one has a slow traffic speed (dial-up connection), and scanty storage capacity. There are a great many the like services online, but YouTube was bought by Google and it has played its part.
But there’re some cons: video quality can be a critical moment. If you adore watching free videos online via your mobile, Apple iPhone, iPod, Nintendo Wii, cameras, etc., it doesn’t concern you.
As for me, any movie is a treat for the eye on wide big screens accompanied proper sound. YouTube and Google offer full length movies. Next in turn is to make the video quality better. HDTV! And what about Blu-ray?
The official YouTube blog:”You may have noticed that we’re now giving you the option of watching some YouTube videos in higher quality. We’re making these streams available on certain videos, based upon the source file uploaded to us, and over time you’ll find a greater percentage of the library is available to view in higher quality. This feature applies to all eligible videos uploaded from the YouTube community, and is not restricted to partner content, so everyone can enjoy this upgrade.
How do you watch higher quality videos? On your Account page you’re now able to choose “always show me higher quality when available” or “never show me higher quality.” We suggest you select “always show me…” only if you have a fast Internet connection, otherwise you might find that videos don’t play as quickly or smoothly as you’re used to. Higher quality videos also have a link right below the video player which will allow you to select between the normal or higher quality settings.”
Keep in mind, it takes longer both to upload and download stuff. Bandwidth and storage capacity are of great importance. That’s why most people give preference to “YouTube model”. It’s expected that files size will be limited to 1 GB, and higher-definition videos can’t be longer that 10 minutes in length.
Anyway, relax and use what you have at the moment. Don’t rush things.
