Verizon: watching clips on TV
TV networks have been streaming video clips on the web. As television comes to the Internet, great number of companies are competing to become the networks of the future, for certain Revver videos have been available on Verizon Wireless cell phone service via the web.
Reuters writes, that home video clips uploaded to Internet video service Revver will be available on Verizon Communications Inc.’s television service FiOS, the companies said on Thursday, as interest in watching clips on TV grows.
Revver, one of the first online video services that agreed to split advertising revenue with creators, said some of its videos will be available on-demand directly on TV screens later this year, the company said.
The videos will not be streamed directly to TV viewers, but stored on FiOS’ system, Revver said.
