Top Video Game Trailers of E3 2010

The annual video game conference and show E3 that takes place in Los Angeles is over. While motion control for both Microsoft and Sony this year, as well as the introduction of 3D gaming is high on the agenda, the really exciting prospect from E3 2010 is the variety of new incredibly captivating games that will be hitting our stores soon. Now it is high time to unveil the list of top video game trailers according to E3.
•    Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. This sequel now features a multiplayer element so enjoy your favorite adventures with your friends.

•    Castelvania: Lords of Shadows. The game is expected to be extremely competitive on a flooded market of third person action video games. The Lords of Shadows reboot however looks well and truly up to the task of combing God of War non-stop action with Darksiders epic scope.

•    Star Wars: The Old Republic. That is the game fans have been dreaming of. The quality of the gameplay can match this video then gamers are in for a treat.

•    The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. The new game is no less than stunning. Initial impressions of the new action puzzler have overcome all expectations.

•    Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millenium Online. Games Workshop have high hopes for Dark Millennium Online. Though the fantasy action does not differentiate a lot from the previous version, it is expected to provide a different offering.

•    Killzone 3. Taking into account that Killzone and Killzone 2 have been a great success, there is nothing to impede the third version to follow the tendency. The Helghast soldiers appear to have been transported to Hoth, and have been upgraded with a Kick Ass style jetpack with miniguns.

•    Spider Man: Shattered Dimensions. The largest opportunity of the new game in comparison with earlier ones is that it will allow players to jump, swing and web-sling their way through four alternate universes, each with a different incarnation of Spider-man.

Oscar Nominees List: 14 Animated Features (2008)

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is the world’s preeminent movie-related organization, with a membership of more than 6,000 of the most accomplished men and women working in cinema. In addition to the annual Academy Awards – in which the members vote to select the nominees and winners – the Academy:

  • presents a diverse year-round slate of public programs, exhibitions and events;
  • provides financial support to a wide range of other movie-related organizations and endeavors;
  • acts as a neutral advocate in the advancement of motion picture technology;
  • and, through its Margaret Herrick Library and Academy Film Archive, collects, preserves, restores and provides access to movies and items related to their history.

Through these and other activities the Academy serves students, historians, the entertainment industry and people everywhere who love movies.

The Academy has recently released the list of Animated Features, three of which will be chosen to go on to the big show. 14 films have been submitted for consideration in the Animated Feature Film category for the 81st Academy Awards. Here is the complete list, including official trailers I found on YouTube:

1)Bolt

2)Delgo

3)Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears A Who!

4)Dragon Hunters

5)Fly Me To The Moon

6)Igor

7)Kung Fu Panda

8)Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa

9)The Sky Crawlers

10)Sword Of The Stranger

11)The Tale Of Despereaux

12)WALL-E

13)Waltz With Bashir

14)$9.99 - I wasn’t able to find a trailer for this one, but here is some info on it.

I consider this nomination to be of a big importance, because animated movies is what our children love to watch and they greatly contribute to the way the kids interpret the real world. Anyway, enjoy watching trailers and choose something for yourself & your kids. ;)
