For some reasons hockey seems to be one of the most popular sports in the U.S. At least, I have made such a conclusion after the heightened interest towards my previous hockey oriented topic named YouTube Fight Video - Best Hockey Fights Ever. So, why not to keep on talking about what we are really interested in? Just a few words for newbies, a shootout is used when the game is tied after 5 minutes of overtime. Each team usually has three shooters. The game can end only when both teams has done the same number of shots. But, as we know, nobody is perfect. So, any hockey player may commit an error for this or that reason – sometimes he gets too nervous, or just not skillful enough. Anyway, the results of their failures have become very popular on the Internet. Here I have 5 NHL shootout failures I could remember.
• Alexander Semin. A person who is known like a “human torpedo” cannot miss? I doubt, yet after a failed shootout he still could not admit it.
• Peter Forsberg. This man is a legend of the Swedish hockey history. Still he is not impeccable as we can see.
• Dennis Wideman. In spite of the fact that his shot was failed we admire the way he did it. Personally, I cannot figure out how could he do such a marvel of physics? Do you have any idea?
• Patrick Kane. Patrick is a sniper who plays for the Blackhawks. Yeah, he missed too, besides he drove into the board after that. Poor Patrick.
• Patrick Eaves. He plays for Detroit Red Wing. It is considered one of the biggest shootout failures ever.
