Enjoy Best Music Video 2011 Grammy Nomination Prediction

Today in the evening the Recording Academy will stage the Grammy Nominations Concert Live of the 2011 year, to lift the curtain on frontrunners for prizes come February, at the 53rd annual Grammy Awards. Considering nods were culled from the season that ran September in 2009 to September this year, there may be some old faces, as well as some new. The Grammy Awards Ceremony itself will take place on February 13.

According to music experts, a person who will doubtlessly appear on stage will be Lady Gaga. Though her “Fame Monster” EP/re-released set will pack a punch beside relatively new albums like Arcade Fire’s “The Suburbs” and fresh-faced Justin Bieber. Jay-Z’s 2009 album “The Blueprint 3″ will be up against acts like Eminem for honors.
Most possible contenders for Best New Artist Category are Ke$ha, Taio Cruz, Florence & The Machine, Susan Boyle and Adam Lambert. Strong contenders Nicki Minaj, Janelle Monae and Bruno Mars aren’t eligible for various reasons this year, but there’s still a passel of worthy newcomers to chose from, in part because of the bumper crop of new solo pop/R&B males who filled the airwaves.

Who you think can win in Album of the Year category? I personally bet on Eminem “Recovery”, Sade “Soldier of Love” or Lady Antebellum “Need You Now”. It might also be Lady Gaga “The Fame Monster”, Jay Z “The Blueprint 3″, John Legend & The Roots “Wake Up”, Miranda Lambert “Revolution” or Arcade Fire “Suburbs”.

An talking about song of the year, the situation is the following. Forget about production, think about songcraft and how the tune would sound if it were played on an acoustic guitar. Would it hold up without all the bells and whistles?  For pure emotion, “The House That Built Me” wins hands down, but “Need You Now”  appealed to both country and pop fans…and pop and country Grammy voters.

Lady Gaga Reached 1 Billion View on YouTube

Incredible popularity of pop star Lady Gaga seems to be growing from day to day. Every new single of the singer turns into sensation, while her video clips gain all possible awards and beat records of music success. Here is another record of the singer and the most popular music videos.
Recently it was announced that Lady Gaga became the first artist to reach one billion views on YouTube. The singer celebrated the event on Sunday by tweeting out her thanks to her fans, or little monsters, as she dubs them for helping her reach the improbable result. Lady Gaga wrote to her fans: “We reached 1 Billion views on YouTube little monsters! If we stick together we can do anything. I dub u kings and queens of YouTube! Unite!”

There were two finalists - Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber – who was too close to Gaga but resulted unable to beat the record. Though Gaga notched the record first, Bieber is close behind with more than 962 million views, and he’s expected to join her in that rarified air by November 1.
Gaga averaged almost 1.8 million views per day in September, while Bieber averaged around 3.7 million views per day for the same month. Both easily outpace the next closest artist, late pop icon Michael Jackson, who has approximately 600 million views on YouTube.

Talking about the number of views for every music video clip, the results are the following: Telephone earned 88 million, the next is Alejandro with 94 million, then Just Dance that gained 124 million views, and the first place goes to Bad Romance with 297 million views.
Lady Gaga actually passed the one billion mark in total online views (I mean both on and outside of YouTube) in March, thanks to landing three clips in the 100 million plus club.

Watch on Video Lady Gaga Interviewed by Larry King

On Tuesday a famous and extravagant pop singer Lady Gaga was interviewed by Larry King. The show is celebrating an anniversary week now; among their guests have been Barack Obama, LeBron James and Bill Gates. I am sure that Lady Gaga will appreciate being amid such personalities. The video of the interview has already turned into a sensation. Here you can enjoy every minute of it.

It was amazing to see Lady Gaga’s outfit that was a photographic negative of King’s traditional black shirt, white suspenders, glasses and slicked hair. The King and The Lady“– as they called their duet – started the talk with the singer’s career and incredible success. Some curious and general moment of the singer’s life were discussed as well – her name, odd jobs and thoughts.

The second part was more specific. It covered attitude of the singer to Michael Jackson (both singers were going to realize a tour together), quitting drug habit, tours, the next album, fans (or little monsters, as Lady Gaga called them lovingly) and, of course, her extremely unusual costumes.

Then comes the third part that starts from a question from a listener, and the talk takes a turn for the show business, freaks and fan’s parodies on her video clips. They watch a couple of parodies to sum up everything said before.

In the fourth part of the interview Larry compares Lady Gaga with Madonna, covers the issue of religion and thoughts about sexual minorities. The singer expressed her positive attitude to the gay community, her admiration of their relationships, bravery, love and courage. “It’s something I have yet to nail on the head with a man, Larry,”- she added. In fact, a large piece of the interview was dedicated to the issue of sexuality – concerning minorities and her own private life.

Lady GaGa & Beyonce New Music Video Is Banned

The most discussed singer of the last years is none other than Lady GaGa. She knows how to shock the audience with her extravagant outfits, eccentric songs and impressive music video clips. The latest fruit of the eccentric singer is “Telephone” performed together with Beyonce.

The “Telephone” was directed by Jonas Akerlund. Lady GaGa has already worked with him on the video for “Paparazzi”. The clip is a mixture of stunning actions: girl fights, GaGa goodness, poisoned food, and so on and so forth. In fact this story goes about Lady GaGa’s arrest and imprisonment, which end up by a prison break of the singer. Then appears Beyonce who helps her to make revenge. You can watch the video “Telephone” right now and right here. Enjoy it!

The video, made in Tarantino style, appeared to be so impressive that even such modern TV channels as MTG refused to broadcast it. I wonder that Britain rejected to broadcast the video on TV. They say that it is due to obscenity in the video. At the same time, such a reaction does not prevent the music video clip to beat all records and surpass all expectations.
“Telephone” video is full of extravagant constructions and make-ups, architectural sunglasses and outfits, unusual approach and the video in general. But that is what we tend to think about when we see Lady GaGa. Suffice it to mention this year’s Grammy Awards. No doubt, the singer is the brightest godsend for show business of these days.
But we perfectly know, if the thing is banned, it becomes desirable. And the video ban is not an exception. In the result within the first 24 hours the clip appeared on the Internet, several million people watched it. I would say, it is impossible to stop popularity and public opinion.
