Enjoy Simpsons Free Videos & Curious Facts

It all began when the Simpsons 30 second videos were aired in the TV show in 1987. Since then it has turned into the most famous and successful cartoon series broadcasted in about 60 countries. It is considered the longest show ever – 20 year of a worldwide popularity made it a legend. Here I have some curious facts and interesting video clips. Enjoy them!
By the way, do you know why the Simpsons are yellow? According to the words of a former director of the cartoon David Silverman, the idea belonged to a color stylist. The point is Maggie, Lisa and Bart have no hair line. Thus yellow color creates a vision that both hair and skin are yellow. Otherwise it would look like a sawed line. The idea of Marge’s blue colors also belongs to the color stylist. Maybe she wanted Marge not to stand out of the whole extraordinary family yet having something special. All these explanations seem very reasonable. However, there is another version that has no proofs. It is supposed that Matt Groening made the first sketch on yellow paper. Later on he passed over to black paper and did not enjoy the result. That is why he kept on using yellow color.
Another curious fact is why the Simpsons have only four fingers? If you can draw and is aware of the basic drawing techniques, you are supposed to know that fingers are the most difficult part of a body to reproduce it on paper. If cartoonists draw all five fingers, the process slows down. Besides, a hand looks quite large and disproportional. So the Explanation is very easy. In fact the majority of cartoonists use this technique. Just remember Mickey Mouse or Bugs Bunny.

It has become a tendency to consider women terrible drivers. Nobody doubts that it is a truthful fact. Each time we see a woman that does something wrong while driving we cannot but exclaiming: “How stupid they are!” Today I would like to present you some curious facts about female drivers and some interesting stupid videos to enjoy. Here we go.
In several countries such as Iraq or Saudi Arabia it is banned for women to drive. I bet that most man in our country would love the same rules. The reason for it is women’s hazardous and erratic behavior on the road; she doubts every moment and feels unsteady.
What is more, women all constantly ridiculed by men. In the result we can watch their risk taking behavior. There is another stupid video on the road. Enjoy it!
In fact, the Internet is packed with lots of videos and pictures where women drivers pull a gas cord on the road, drive the wrong way, get into stupid accidents, and so on and so forth. However, you will be surprised to hear the results of a study held at Carnegie Mellon University. According to their statistics, male drivers’ behavior on the road is 77 per cent more risk taking than females’. At the same time, women are not without drawbacks either. Middle aged women are more likely to get involved into a serious accident in comparison with middle aged men. The best age for driving is found to be between 40 and 50. To our greatest surprise, the wort drivers are not women but young men under 25 years old. They are three times more likely to be involved in an accident.

Lady GaGa & Beyonce New Music Video Is Banned

The most discussed singer of the last years is none other than Lady GaGa. She knows how to shock the audience with her extravagant outfits, eccentric songs and impressive music video clips. The latest fruit of the eccentric singer is “Telephone” performed together with Beyonce.

The “Telephone” was directed by Jonas Akerlund. Lady GaGa has already worked with him on the video for “Paparazzi”. The clip is a mixture of stunning actions: girl fights, GaGa goodness, poisoned food, and so on and so forth. In fact this story goes about Lady GaGa’s arrest and imprisonment, which end up by a prison break of the singer. Then appears Beyonce who helps her to make revenge. The video, made in Tarantino style, appeared to be so impressive that even such modern TV channels as MTG refused to broadcast it. I wonder that Britain rejected to broadcast the video on TV. They say that it is due to obscenity in the video. At the same time, such a reaction does not prevent the music video clip to beat all records and surpass all expectations.
“Telephone” video is full of extravagant constructions and make-ups, architectural sunglasses and outfits, unusual approach and the video in general. But that is what we tend to think about when we see Lady GaGa. Suffice it to mention this year’s Grammy Awards. No doubt, the singer is the brightest godsend for show business of these days.
But we perfectly know, if the thing is banned, it becomes desirable. And the video ban is not an exception. In the result within the first 24 hours the clip appeared on the Internet, several million people watched it. I would say, it is impossible to stop popularity and public opinion.

The Best Event Video: Avatar vs The Hurt Locker

All night long directors of both films kept their breath waiting for the results. Somebody was satisfied, while others were definitely not. Avatar of James Cameron won in three categories, and The Hurt Locker took six of them. No doubt, The Hurt Locker is a good and quality film about war, but its victory seems a bit strange.
Some critics suggested their point of view about the issue. Here I have some general factors that might have influenced this year’s results:
•    Social message. People prefer dramas to sci-fi stories. The thing is life stories are closer and more familiar to them than an unknown and fictional world of Pandora. The Americans tend to cheer for the U.S. success war operations in The Hurt Locker rather than watch their defeat in Avatar.
•    Age. The majority of viewers are senior. They have got used to movies that are standard. How can they appreciate the miracle of 3D? Besides, not a single sci-fi film has resulted the best according to the Academy.
•    Completely New. Avatar was a shock for most people who have not seen anything like this in their life. There were several similar precedents in Academy history. Innovations, 3D, new technique – that is not for Oscar.
•    Personal Affection. We could see during the event that voters are inclined to obey blindly their feelings. They have an idol and follow his each step exclaiming how perfect he or she is. And no matter what in reality is. The same happened on the red carpet this year. Just remember the cases of Meryl Strip or George Clooney. And James Cameron, on the contrary, was creamed. What should we love him for?
Well, for this or that reason the best film of these days was beaten by a standard one. Is it fair?

YouTube Fight Video - Best Hockey Fights Ever

Everybody has his favorite video compilation. For some people these are video clips with adventurous spirit, for others these are crazy video loops, a perfect example of which I have in Watch Crazy Video on the Road. But there are people who go crazy about fights, but not street or professional. The topic of today is the best hockey fights.
Hockey has always attracted a vast audience by tough and cruel games and behavior of some players. By the way, ice hockey is the only major game where fighting is possible. It is supposed that hockey fighting appeared because of the lack of rules that encouraged physical strength to be used. A significant step increasing the amount of fights during the game became an implementation of blue lines. Here I have some YouTube hockey fight video clip for you to enjoy.
Since the year 1992 has acted Rule 56 that is supposed to control so called fisticuffs. In spite of this, hockey is still the toughest and cruelest game these days. Only Olympic ice hockey can be considered an exception.
There is in ice hockey even an unofficial role of “enforcer”. Such players have shifts just like others but their main aim is to deter an opposing player. Actually, players may find multiple reasons to start a fight. Among them there are both game related and personal.
There have been several efforts to ban hockey fighting. As a rule this happens after the media spreads the facts about any act of violence. Anyway, we can see no results of these campaigns yet. The thing is many people still love watching hockey as it is nowadays. They create video compilations and share them on the Internet. In the result, it turns into a pandemic hobby. But is it so harmless for players and for the game in general?
