Sick and Disturbing Videos
Once I was sitting in a cafe with my friends, we were having fun, chatting and relaxing. One of us, let us call him Ben, started telling us about the videos he had recently seen. He seemed quite excited. The videos were way too sick, they were labeled like ‘what would you do for money’. There were people badly injuring themselves for money as he told. He was describing the videos in details and all of us seemed to be really troubled. Some were telling Ben to shut up, and however all of us felt like watching the videos right away. Actually I myself did so the next day.
So why is that? Why do we watch sick and disturbing videos?
We believe such videos to be disgusting and still watch them sometimes even over and over again. After watching such videos we do tell about them to our friends, once again in details and then our friends do exactly the same.
There are a lot of sick and disturbing videos on the net and most major video websites have whole collections of them. These can be videos from football or else matches, from car or motorcycle races, the stunts that went wrong. There is a great variety of them.
Motorcycle and car accidents occupy separate section as a rule as there are way too many.
All of these videos are watched every day and downloaded. They are even more popular than any type of music video clips.
After watching one of those sick and disturbing videos we email them to our friends without even thinking of what we are actually doing. We say than to them “Hey! Did you watch it? It was awful, wasn’t it?” And here is the common answer: “Yeah, this is sick, man! Why did you email me this crap? We watched it for a few times with everybody in the office and they all admit this to be sick.”
Do you see what I mean?
