We live in the world full of violence and injustice, and it is not a secret for anyone. People become greedier and greedier, they try to earn (or stole, or just to make) money by all means, and there are some, who do not wish to see any obstacles and stop before anything. Even the law at times is not able to restrain them. We may see somewhere on TV or on the Web pit bull fighting video clips and do not guess that it is really illegal.

Cruelty towards animals is also considered to be a crime. People do it just for a show, to make more money (and this business is actually quite profitable). Those, who watch it, do not care much about the animals, about their feelings and about their future. Few know that after being injured they are more often left somewhere in the streets where bleeding and suffering immensely they eventually die.

Pit bulls are actually bred especially for this purpose and as a result they are really aggressive and dangerous. Uncommonly children are present at these fights and such cruel scenes may damage their psyche, and it is also proven by scientists that all those impressions got in the childhood will find their reflection in their future lives. They become rude and brutal towards people around them and it is not such a rare thing when they commit crimes in their early ages and become juvenile delinquents. Not a very pleasant picture of somebody’s life, I should say.

Though the authority tries to restrain such fights, it is considered to be a felony not everywhere. In some states of the US it is still though to be just a misdemeanor so the offenders my get off with a mere fine. As this business is really lucrative the amount of money that has to be paid as a fine does not frighten the criminals.

It is not only the problem of ethics, actually. Such fights are really dangerous and the presence of children in the “battle field” gives the opportunity to the dogs to attack them. Children are small and the dogs are trained to kill, and at some moment they just can mix everything up and take a child for another animal. The result can be deplorable… So it’s quite clear that measures MUST be taken!
