AmuseLine: online videos and webTV

5min.com Launches the First Online Videopedia

5 min.com is a new video site. It’s called the first site, that will provide an answer to your most asked questions in a jigsaw: “How to make your own home video projector?”, ” How to get a cork from a bottle?”, ” Learn different kinds of kisses”. A number of such video tips always come in handy. I don’t insist, you just can drop in Wikipedia and find an answer, but it’s known that visual media is helps us better to get it right. No kidding!

5 mins and you become skilled at this field, you’ll get fast answers. Then you’ll boast of gaining experience. I’m going bananas.

5 min offers plenty of useful stuff which you may or may not stumble upon dirung a day. Why is it so? The user themselves upload these short-length video clips with explanation and demonstration how to solve one or another problem or task.

To move on they developed a new flash player called “The Smart Player”. It adds text that explains what is happening in the video.

5min is an internet startup company founded by three Israeli entrepreneurs: Ran Harnevo, Hanan Lashover and Tal Simantov.

We believe that the field of knowledge on the web, is still untapped,” says 5min’s CEO, Ran Harnevo. “5min is a place for practical solutions and therefore, its whole strategy is to implement new technologies in that field, allowing users to benefit from supporting features they won’t find in the huge, but nonspecific, video sites. “Life Videopedia” – we want to create a video library of our common knowledge, a library that will serve anyone and shall inspire every user to add his/her own knowledge.”
