Megacool Brands Turn to YouTube
It’s no secret that YouTube gained success by means of sharing online video and various age groups which actively show interest in watching short video clips.
Make sure you remember how Joost.com signed ad deals with 32 well-known brands from all around the globe. Now next in turn is YouTube.
You would be interested to know the brands that give preference to YouTube. Among them are Gap, Victoria’s Secret, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Nike and Adidas.
Personally, I believe these brands contemplated in what way video sharing communities (including MySpace) attract viewers’ attention and interest.
What is more, in that way most companies are willing to suggest an idea to youngsters what is mega-cool and nifty.
“We’ve always had a hard time reaching young men and women on TV, except for MTV. Particularly teenagers — they’re not doing a ton of reading. The younger market was a bit diffused. They’re spending enormous amounts of time online,” said David Verklin, chief executive officer of Carat North America, the largest independent media services company.
Daily more and more teenagers grow into a habit to hang out on the web. They are very curious and savvy to find what they are looking for in the shortest possible time. And it must be said there are lots of companies which are interested in attaining young men via popular online services. Right now and right here.
“If you catch a young consumer, it goes out virally into the community at speeds and sizes that boggle the imagination,” said Verklin.
I’m not quite sure but I reckon traditional media loses its prestige, and advertising agencies have been transferring ads from real world to virtual one.
