Rumours about Google mobile phone are controversial, but some sources state that Google is experimenting with some communications system.

“Google is experimenting with a few wireless communications systems including some completely novel concepts. We are building a small team of top-notch Logic Designers and Analog Designers aimed at nothing less than making the entire world’s information accessible from anywhere for free.”

Spanish news site Noticias.com asserts that this week the company has been working on a mobile phone.

Google’s chief executive in Spain and Portugal, Isabel Aguilera mentioned that “Some of our engineers’ time is dedicated to the development of a mobile phone.” She also reiterated that about 70 percent of Google’s engineers’ time is dedicated to developing the main products for the company, 20 percent of the time is to develop products that are somewhat related to the main business, and about 10 percent of engineering time is spent on projects that could be tangentially related to the business, indicating that the phone development was not necessarily an active project.

Not long ago big tech companies getting into the phone business seem to be the rumours: Apple phone, Zune phone.

But what about Google? We see the possibility of the company to realize its plans. May be cooperation with Samsung phones? The Samsung-powered Google Phone is rumored to be a Blackberry-like device that would run VoIP services. Pictures of the alleged device, which appear to be very iPhone-like, have been floating around the web.

“Samsung has already launched, the Ultra Edition 13.8 (SGH-Z720), its first mobile handset installed with Google mobile search and Gmail services. The slim Samsung 3G Z720 is only 13.8mm in thinness, is HSDPA ready, and comes with a 3 Megapixel camera, MP3 Player, and Bluetooth connectivity.”

If Google really succeeds, soon we will see a mobile phone, which enables to watch TV online, different videos on demand, available for downloading from YouTube likewise, i.e. use all the possible resources the company possesses.
