Funny or Die?! At first I wasn’t sure what this means, but now I know. Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s (Anchorman, Talladega Nights) production company has taken an investment from esteemed venture capital firm Sequoia Capital to launch a new comedy video site.
The short-length video called “The Landlord” has already received over two million hits, and other vids from established comedians and actors will also begin to pop up on the site. It’s hilarious!
The site will accepts user-generated comedy and funny videos. Creators of popular clips will be “put on a private jet to Paraguay”, the founders say, or sent to “die” if clips are not funny. Unlike YouTube on the latter source video clips will be banished to a section of the site known as “the Crypt”. Sure thing! Out of sight, out of mind! The audience wants to watch really a funny stuff, not a crap.
If you don’t like this site, you are welcome to visit and check out Super Deluxe, which also features videos from comedians as well as user-generated videos.
