Fox TV and Hearst Mag: Your Favorite Mags

Fox TV along with Hearst Magazines are going to create a new unusual TV series for broadband based on popular magazine titles. What will it be? Sure thing this TV project has to justify hopes.

There are two popular magazines that will put into practice this project: Cosmogirl and Popular Mechanics. The online series feature an undetermined number of two-to-three-minute episodes that will launch on the magazines’ websites.

And as a rule webusers will have a chance to watch these short-length video clips on the web (Yahoo, AOL).

The CosmoGirl project is a serialized soap, with fans contributing to the narrative by submitting suggestions for what should happen next in the story. The details of the Popular Mechanics webisodes have not yet been determined, nor has a timeline for launching either project.

This is an innovative partnership that marries Fox TV Studios’ creative ideas with Hearst’s successful brands and content,” said Angela Shapiro-Mathes, president of Fox Television Studios.

FOX TV never rests content with what has been achieved. It always amuses us with new TV series and shows, but this time I hope it is a novelty for it.
