Television has been around for almost a century already and ever since it was invented people worshiped it being in its power. The variety of movies, quizzes, sport programs and cartoons available to any TV viewer leaves us no choice but watch them.

No one can tell exactly when the technology was first invented and who actually did it. Some argue it was Don Kimberlin, however most of the patents belong to Philo T. Farnsworth.

What we do know is that in 1925 Dr. Ernst Alexanderson who was among the first known developers of the technology broadcasted to estimated 300 people in New York area. This very person broadcasted the first TV drama The Queen’s Messenger in 1928, on the 11th of September to be exact. So from that we can conclude that he was the one responsible for the first TV broadcast. However it would be dishonest not to mention a picture of the Maltese Cross broadcasted by John Logie Baird in 1924, a year before Dr. Ernst Alexanderson.

Years 1935 – 1940 were really significant years in the history of broadcasting. In 1935 the first non-experimental public television service was launched and that actually happened not in the United States as one could have expected. These were the Germans! In 1936 first scheduled television was introduced in the UK and only year 1939 became the year of the United States!

What concerns Internet Television service here the US were the pioneers. In 1994 World News Now was launched by ABC.

Internet television broadcasting is extremely popular these days; here are several highly praised services available one can name:

Like it or not television in all possible forms surrounds us and influences our lives. We get most of the information from TV and we are aware it is quite subjective, but we have no other alternative equal to television for now, and probably this is not going to change very soon.
