Enjoy Sports Video: The Latest Matches Review

Football fans from every corner of the world follow the matches of the World Cup 2010 taking place in South Africa.  Yesterday we could enjoy two gorgeous matches: the first one – Argentina vs. Mexico (3:1), and the second one – Germany vs. England (4:1).  I suggest that we review and enjoy one more time some moments of the matches. Have fun!

Carlos Tevez’ opening goal helped Argentina on their way to a 3-1 victory over Mexico at Soccer City stadium. In a repeat of their last 16 meeting at the 2006 World Cup, Javier Aguirre’s players were arguably the better of the two teams up until that point, with Argentine footballers facing their first real test after coasting through Group B to the knockout stages. In some ways Carlos Tevez had been to blame for the controversy around the first goal. It’s possible that Messi’s shot would have gone in anyway – and perfectly legally – had Tevez just stayed out of the way. The one bright spot for Mexico was the consolation goal scored by young Javier Hernandez. Unfortunately for the Mexicans it was not enough. So, Mexico’s World Cup run ends in the Round of 16 for the fifth time in a row.

German footballers are through to the 2010 FIFA World Cup quarter-finals after humbling a poor England 4-1 in Bloemfontein. However many English fans will refer to a controversial moment in the thirty-eighth minute when Chelsea’s Frank Lampard thought he had gained a goal for his team with the scores at 2-1, but for Uruguayan official Jorge Larrionda and his assistant failed to notice that the ball had clearly crossed the line. The Germans made mincemeat of the English defence on quite a few occasions and that’s what led to their convincing victory and England’s biggest ever World Cup loss.
