Considering nods were culled from the season that ran September in 2009 to September this year, there may be some old faces, as well as some new. The Grammy Awards Ceremony itself will take place on February 13.

According to music experts, a person who will doubtlessly appear on stage will be Lady Gaga. Though her “Fame Monster” EP/re-released set will pack a punch beside relatively new albums like Arcade Fire’s “The Suburbs” and fresh-faced Justin Bieber. Most possible contenders for Best New Artist Category are Ke$ha, Taio Cruz, Florence & The Machine, Susan Boyle and Adam Lambert. Strong contenders Nicki Minaj, Janelle Monae and Bruno Mars aren’t eligible for various reasons this year, but there’s still a passel of worthy newcomers to chose from, in part because of the bumper crop of new solo pop/R&B males who filled the airwaves.

Who you think can win in Album of the Year category? I personally bet on Eminem “Recovery”, Sade “Soldier of Love” or Lady Antebellum “Need You Now”. It might also be Lady Gaga “The Fame Monster”, Jay Z “The Blueprint 3″, John Legend & The Roots “Wake Up”, Miranda Lambert “Revolution” or Arcade Fire “Suburbs”.

An talking about song of the year, the situation is the following. Forget about production, think about songcraft and how the tune would sound if it were played on an acoustic guitar. Would it hold up without all the bells and whistles? For pure emotion, “The House That Built Me” wins hands down, but “Need You Now” appealed to both country and pop fans…and pop and country Grammy voters.

Is there anything a sports fan enjoys more than a good sports movie except a sport event itself, of course? Taking into account the huge amount of them, I say no. A good sports movie can make you sit on the edge of your seat, laugh, or even cry. But most of all, a good sports movie video makes you care.
• Youngblood. If you are looking for the best movie about hockey, that is what you need. I cannot but mentioning xcellent performance of Rob Lowe, Patrick Swayze, Keanu Reeves. The film tells about a 17-year-old farmhand from rural New York state, Dean Youngblood who has dreams of playing in the National Hockey League. He must have proved to everybody and to himself that he can do that.

• More than a Game. Before LeBron James became one of the most unlikeable athletes of all time, this movie helped make him one of the most likeable. The real story here was his friendship with his teammates, which seems to have kept him grounded for as long as humanly possible.

• Any Given Sunday. The movie is a behind the scenes look at the life and death struggles of modern day gladiators and those who lead them. There are a few redeeming moments, though, none more so than when Pacino gives his locker room speech about inches.

• Bend It Like Beckham. Well, the movie is for certain age category. In my opinion, it will be interesting only for teenagers, though I may mistake. The story tells about a young girl who is forbidden to play soccer by religious matters, but—guess what?—she goes against her parents and plays anyway.

• Ali. Will Smith managed to show charisma and strength of will characteristic of a boxing icon Muhammed Ali. Gorgeous story about a legendary person.

Meet Dancing With the Stars 11 & Watch Free Video

The 11th season of Dancing With the Stars kicked off Monday night and, as always, there were two questions hanging over the first-night viewing: Who are the dancers and who are the trainwrecks? Besides, the first dance resulted the last dance for one couple as its first pair of the season was turned out. Who was the unlucky duo? Find out a short review below!

First up was Audrina Patrey, who described herself as “fun-loving party girl”. She is an MTV reality show star. Her partner is Tony Dovolani. The couple has good chances, at least now in the top. Kurt Warner came next. Teamed with Ana Trebunskaya, he had the Viennese Waltz. This is a hard dance to have as your first dance. He did his best.
The next pair was Kyle Massey, the former Disney Channel star, paired with Lacey Schwimmer. They chose cha-cha-cha for the first dance. Rick Fox, former LA Laker with Cheryl Burke were gorgeous. The next were Margaret Cho and Louis Van Amstel. They say it is the weirdest pair of the season.

Brandy, paired with Maks Chmerkovskiy, followed. No that good, but we’ll wait and see. Bristol Palin, dancing with Mark Ballas. Everybody expected her mum to come. Well, she didn’t. Florence Henderson was, appropriately, paired with pro dancer Mark Ballas’ dad, Corky. She did the cha-cha-cha and was fine. And the first couple booted from the ballroom is … David and Kym.

Popularity this season is going to have is unbelievable. “In the past, ‘Dancing With the Stars’ got the reputation that it’s for washed-up people, but as the seasons have gone on, it’s gotten more popular, and the ratings are huge,” explains reporter Brad Witter. “A lot of people that are on this season are people that have been in the spotlight up until now and are still running in our magazine. This season, it’s people that America already cares about.”

According to most historians, the game of tennis was invented by French monks in the 11th or 12th century. They hit a ball with their hands over a rope strung across a courtyard or against the walls of the monasteries. The first tennis balls were made of wool or hair wrapped up in leather.
As the game became more popular, players began using a glove with webbing between the fingers or a solid paddle. Eventually players began using a piece of webbing attached to a handle, which became the modern day racquet.

The longest tennis match took place at the 2004 French Open. Two French opponents Fabrice Santoro and Arnaud Clement played two days with a pause of course. The match started on Monday and lasted till it got dark. The next day they continued the match until Santoro finally beat Clement.
On the contrary, the shortest match in the history of tennis took was registered at the 1988 French Open when Steffi Graf beat Natasha Zvereva 6-0, 6-0 in a mere 32 minutes. That is really amazing!

The credit to the fastest serve officially recorded goes to American player Andy Roddick, at 155 mph, or 249.4 kph. He achieved this feat on September 27, 2004 in a Davis Cup match against Vladimir Voltchkov. The fastest serve in women’s tennis was recorded by Venus Williams. The serve clocked 127.4 mph, or 205 km/h and it was in European Indoor Championships.

Free Fight Video: Worst Boxing Moments Ever

Professional boxing is an extremely popular sport but the rise of MMA, a lack of a central governing body, corruption and players themselves have threatened to end this glorious sport. Mega fights still bring in huge revenues but they are few and far between, while numerous incidents contribute to the downfall. Here are some of them and a series of the worst fight videos ever:

Everybody is aware of corrupted Olympic judges and numerous stories about their unfair decisions. New Zealander Keith Walker was officiating a bantamweight bout between Byun Jong Il of South Korea and Alexander Hristov of Bulgaria. The fight was an ugly foul-filled affair and Walker had to repeatedly penalize Jong for head butting. Finally Hristov was announced a winner, which incensed Jong’s countrymen. South Korean boxing officials and coaches stormed the ring and viciously attacked referee Keith Walker. The Korean Boxing Federation president and the president of the Korean Olympic Committee both resigned after this deplorable incident.

In 1996 Andrew Golota fought against Riddick Bowe. In the 7th round the fight began to take a very strange turn. For some reason Golota started to punch the rival below the belt line. He was warned several times and even received point deductions but his behavior continued unless the player was disqualified. That led to a riot where dozens of fans, boxing personnel and police were injured.

A superstar in South Korea, Kim earned a world title shot against the famed Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini in 1982. For Kim the fight was extremely brutal. In the 14th round Kim was knocked out, in spite of the fact that he managed to rise the referee stopped the fight. Minutes later Duk Koo Kim collapsed into a coma and was carried out of the ring and taken directly to the hospital. Tragically the Korean star died 4 days later from severe brain trauma. His mother committed suicide three months later, Ray Mancini reported that he blamed himself for Kim’s death.

And one more time I return to the topic of the World Cup 2010 as it is doubtlessly the biggest sport event in the world. Now when the epic tournament is over, it is time to remember the Bet sand the Worst moments that have been spotted so far.
Before the tournament Nike launched an ad that resulted a sort of curse, or at least they say that now. The point is every football player featured in the ad was a huge disappointment on the tournament. Among them there were Ronaldinho who didn’t even make the Brazilian squad, Drogba, Rooney with no goals, Cannavaro, Kaka, totally adrift and others.

Another video presents a truly masterful strike for South Africa. Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s 40-yard screamer that ended up in the top corner of the net was doubtlessly the most jaw-dropping goal of the tournament.

What can be considered the worst moment for a football team, their fans and the whole world that is watching the tournament? That is miss! But even among misses there are the worst ones. A vivid example is the match between Nigeria and Korea. Nigeria’s Yakubu Aiyegbeni misses a wide-open tap-in from 2 yards away. And yet how effortless he made it all look! Now the video is on the Internet with the title “World Worst Miss Ever”.

Horrible refereeing is a fixture of any World Cup. While 2006 was darkened by an absurd amount of yellow cards, 2010 World Cup was the victim of too many good goals being disallowed and too many bad ones being allowed to stand. The most shocking case was during Argentina vs Mexico match. Carlos Tevez’s goal was considered as offside. The question is how many feet was Carlos Tevez offside against Mexico? I wonder if the referee could answer this simple and evident question.
