Wilson Palacios signed a five and a half year contract with Spurs. It was announced in the middle of January 2009 that Wilson signed a £12 million contract, and after only ten days passed the footballer had his debut in the new club. It was a game with Bolton Wanderers – a victory. The further, the better. The second game with Arsenal brought a man of the match award to Wilson Palacios.

It is impossible to realize that such a magnificent player almost quitted football in 2007. The reason is his younger brother Edwin was kidnapped, and the family had to pay £125,000 to release the boy. But the time passed and the situation did not become clearer. From the very beginning, the ceremony was entangled in rumors and accidents. For example, the SBS channel filmed rehearsals secretly and leaked some of it, which is prohibited by law. Or, let’s remember scandal about computer simulated fireworks. In the Internet appeared titles going that it was a fake and we were fooled. Well, in my opinion, we got a breathtaking show, and the way it was made is not our business. If it was not made in a traditional way, it testifies Chinese engineers’ imagination and qualification, which did their best to impress spectators.
