Incredible popularity of pop star Lady Gaga seems to be growing from day to day. Every new single of the singer turns into sensation, while her video clips gain all possible awards and beat records of music success. Here is another record of the singer and the most popular music videos.
Recently it was announced that Lady Gaga became the first artist to reach one billion views on YouTube. The singer celebrated the event on Sunday by tweeting out her thanks to her fans, or little monsters, as she dubs them for helping her reach the improbable result. Lady Gaga wrote to her fans: “We reached 1 Billion views on YouTube little monsters! If we stick together we can do anything. I dub u kings and queens of YouTube! Unite!”
There were two finalists - Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber – who was too close to Gaga but resulted unable to beat the record. Though Gaga notched the record first, Bieber is close behind with more than 962 million views, and he’s expected to join her in that rarified air by November 1.
Gaga averaged almost 1.8 million views per day in September, while Bieber averaged around 3.7 million views per day for the same month. Both easily outpace the next closest artist, late pop icon Michael Jackson, who has approximately 600 million views on YouTube.
Talking about the number of views for every music video clip, the results are the following: Telephone earned 88 million, the next is Alejandro with 94 million, then Just Dance that gained 124 million views, and the first place goes to Bad Romance with 297 million views.
Lady Gaga actually passed the one billion mark in total online views (I mean both on and outside of YouTube) in March, thanks to landing three clips in the 100 million plus club.
