On July 9th in the United States was released a new film from Universal Studios and Illumination Entertainment. Only a week passed from the day of release of American computer-animated 3-D feature film Despicable Me, the first results testify that it is going to be a sensation.
In a peaceful and quiet suburban neighborhood there is a black house that belongs to super villain Gru. The house hides the army of mischievous little minions that work in the laboratory of Gru. At the beginning of the film Gru and all other people get to know that the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt has been stolen. To reinstate his prestige Gru invents a plan of stealing the Moon. But another super villain Vector, who by the way, has stolen the Great Pyramid, does his best to interfere with Gru’s plan. The most curious fact is that in spite of his gloomy and reserved character Gru starts to bond with the three little orphan girls. Actually, that is a part of his sinister plan but who knows how the story will end up.
I cannot but mentioning some curious facts about the movie. At the end of the film when Gru organizes a party we can see a DJ stand with ‘Gru-ray disc’ label that is parody to Blu-Ray. Another parody is V for Vendetta when Vector kidnaps the girls and leaves a letter for Gru with the girls’ scribbles and his signature - a letter V in the center.
The overwhelming majority of critics agree that Despicable Me is much more than a pastime for kids, it is an example of smart, cute and cheerful animated film for the whole family. Despicable Me is the third biggest opening grossing for an animated film in 2010 behind Toy Story 3 and Shrek Forever After.
For millions of people all over the world big sports events are what they wait for with a huge impatience. When the long awaited day comes, fans feel admiration and satisfaction, and sportsmen gear up for a big game or a world record. However, not always the things go as we have expected it. That is why today I would like to show you’re a couple of funny compilations where some outside obstacle makes the game stop.
That is curious and amazing that the number of cases when animals disturb sports events is truly high. Above is the blend of video loops where ducks, cats, dogs, snakes and other living creatures create an unforeseen situation on the field. Some of them are so nice and cute that players just stop to admire them like in the video with duckling. Other animals like a snake in a judicial loggia make people scared. But the worst case is when animals disturb the process and some payers fail due to it. For example, I feel really sorry for the horse riders that would not compete for the main award due to a flock of pigeons. And, finally, a poor kitten who was sitting in a mat made me laugh.
Another category of obstacles in sports events is dumb people who pop out to the field. Who knows why they do it. They may want to become famous this way or they might be just insane. Anyway, the video mix resulted super amazing. In the majority of cases, these are crazy guys who seem to do it for fun. However, when a man appeared on a racing track I held my breath for a moment. That was really stupid. And I cannot but mentioning women who try to drive attention of players by all means, that looks awesome! To sum it up, let’s some more funny watch sports bloopers.
That is the day the overwhelming majority of girls dream since they are able to dream. They tend to imagine a fluffy white dress, a beautiful wedding veil, a gorgeous party and, of course, a prince on a white horse. In a few words, the wedding day is meant to be perfect, unique and impeccable. But what to do if something goes wrong? I have prepared a compilation of funny and stupid wedding videos where the situation is not under control and some oops take place.
The poor bride! That is the worst thing that could happen this day. Personally, I cannot imagine what she is going to do. She might have put off the wedding or if she is a super optimist just have changed the dress. I would really like to what the continuation of the story. Anyway, I hope they will laugh telling about it to their grandchildren.
In the ‘Pole’ video the woman in a red dress has obviously drunk too much for her and cannot keep under control her longing for some erotic dancing with a pole. She did not note that the pole was an essential support of the wedding tent. The worst thing is that the bride resulted badly hurt. I doubt that she will be able to keep on celebrating and I am sure that since now she has got a true foe.
To tell the truth, I was shocked to get to know that the most common accident at the wedding is a losing consciousness. Grooms seem to feel much more nervous than brides as they faint far more often. Who are celebrities? Are they ideal people, the ones who are icons for millions of teenagers and adult people? And do they have a right to look stupid and to tell nonsense? It is common knowledge that even the sun has dark spots, so much the more celebrities do.
This week I decided to investigate what celebrities’ oops have ever been caught on video. The results are controversial. On the one hand, there are lots of funny photos, the majority of which though are the result of Photoshop masters. But on the other hand, a number of video loops is far smaller.
Those rare ones that you can find are focused on two main topics – how celebrities fall down off the stage, on the catwalk, during a concert and even in the street. By the way, here I have got some examples of funny falls. The second topic the videos cover is baring of different part of body during a show, at a concert or at any party. That seems to be the most popular thing among paparazzi, but with your permission I would prefer not to concentrate on this.
I cannot but mentioning the level of intelligence and scholarship of some famous people. I would like to characterize all of them in this way, but some examples are really dumb. Here they are:
“So, where’s the Cannes Film Festival being held this year?” — Christina Aguilera
“Smoking kills. If you’re killed, you’ve lost an important part of your life.” — Brooke Shields
“I was asked to come to Chicago because Chicago is one of our fifty-two states.” — Racquel Welch and many-many others. And you can see another one on the video here.
Do not you think that one of the reasons we love celebrities is because we realize that they are not ideal?
Have you noticed that that every almost sitcom uses the same tricks and repeats the same ideas to prolong a movie. Our highly beloved cartoon The Simpsons is not an exception. Here are 3 ideas that were repeated twice throughout all the seasons, and that is only beginning:
1. Homer Gets Fit both in Season 9 and in Season 21. The difference between both parts is that in King of the Hill Homer wants to get fit so as to return son’s respect. The trains late at night and decides to conquer Springfield’s tallest mountain. In Homer The Whopper he is asked to star as a superhero. The studio provides Homer with a personal trainer, but a superhero physique does not last long. The superhero movie results shut down after Homer regains all his weights within a few moments left alone at the food table.
2. Lisa Becomes a Dancer twice as well in Season 11 and 19. In Last Tap Dance in Springfield the girl gets obsessed with the idea after watching a dance movie. In spite of being a terrible dancer, Lisa gets automatic tap-dancing shoes and her dream comes true. In Smoke on the Daughter Lisa is involved in dancing by an instructor who finds Lisa’s posture perfect. This time it is not footwear but cigarette smoke that helps her out.
3. Bart Wants to Get Married two seasons in a row – in 18 and 19. First, in Little Big Girl we can see relationship between Bart and Darcy who is pregnant. The young go to Utah to get married but their families find them, take home and separate. The second time in Apocalypse Cow did not mean to get married, he just made a gift to Mary, which was mistaken for a proposal. Homer and Marge save the child.
