At times people are astonished themselves what cruel creatures they can be in the reality. Wars, crimes, violence, insults… The internet is swarming with casualty video clips to ANYbody’s taste. Moreover TV channels do not want to lag behind and show almost the same sort of stuff but may be with just a pinch of censorship. The worst and the most cruel ones luckily are not considered appropriate for the television.
With the access to almost any devise that can catch the image of something nothing is left off screen. Sometimes it looks awful: imagine a picture when somebody is suffering from a wound or something of this kind and another person instead of being of some help just makes a sensational video. Or imagine a person who witnesses a crime… Well, of course the video may help the investigation though the work of a cameraman is not for those who are too sensitive and nervous.
Making such videos is just half of the problem. Watching such clips online is not such a rare thing. But it is possible only thanks to those people who uploaded this info and see in them something that is worth sharing with others. But have they ever thought about the feelings of those who are directly relevant to a crime, I mean victims of somebody’s criminal actions? What is the purpose of reminding them about it? What is the purpose to make these shots be available to everyone?
People are too selfish by nature, they do not care about feeling of those whom they do not know personally, but at the same time are ready to kill anybody who dares to harm their relatives and people they love. Even if you ask the most merciless offender what he would do if somebody has done at least any of the actions that he has done to his own victims, to his mother, sister, daughter or son, he no doubt answers that he would definitely kill that person.
A kind of paradox, don’t you find it? William Golding was quite right claiming in his book Lord of the flies that all people are beasts inside and only the civilization makes us at least look like humans, though still some do not seem to wish to overcome the stage of being animals, they prefer to stay where they are without development, and due to this fact innocent people do suffer a lot.
