Dexter Heads to CBS: Edited Version

Sunday, 13.01.2008

Who is Dexter and why should he live among us? How many good guys he could save the lives of? I suppose these questions ask fans watching well-known TV series Dexter! Some out there really believe that such character (or “hero”) has to inhabit just about every center of population?! Surely, good always wins evil.

Talking about heroes we mean one does great deeds like saving the life, but Dexter is a special character who kills for good people’s sake. We can’t judge him for that. At first sight he looks like you and me, i.e. seems to be a normal person, hangs out with her girlfriend, gets along with colleagues and her sister Debra.

And what’s wrong with Dexter? He’s not a Batman or Robin Hood. Dexter is just a human being that administers justice on earth. Thus, it is no mere chance that this character called Dexter.

About: Dexter is an American television drama series based on the novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter and Dearly Devoted Dexter by Jeff Lindsay and adapted for television by Emmy Award-winning screenwriter James Manos, Jr.

Content: Dexter (Michael C. Hall) is a forensic blood spatter expert for the Miami Police Department, who is also a serial killer. He is the main support for his sister Debra (Jennifer Carpenter). He has a steady girlfriend Rita (Julie Benz), with two kids who adore him. He also has an active “night life”. Based on a code instilled in him by his foster father, Harry, he hunts down people who have escaped justice and makes sure they don’t get away with a crime again.

News: Dexter is coming to the big screen. This is going to be surprising to see one of my fave TV shows again. CBS will begin airing the first season of Showtime’s Dexter on February 17. CBS will air edited version of the twelve episodes from Dexter’s first season. I think it’s a compulsory measure in such a contingency (TV show writers’ strike).

“Dexter is a “high-quality, compelling series that will be new and original programming for most CBS viewers,” said CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler. “It’s also a great match with our existing lineup.”

Little Know Facts About Care Homes

Wednesday, 09.01.2008

Hospices and care homes are becoming more and more popular nowadays especially in the USA and a little bit less in Western Europe. Still the existence of such places has become a stumbling block for the society - someone consider it immoral when children send their own parents away and charge other people with responsibility to take care of them. Apparently this point of view is not well-found for it does not take in account life conditions and medical service aspects.

Elderly people need special care and should be seen to and examined by a doctor regularly. More over hospices and care homes will provide them day by day professional attention and help.

Unfortunately when a person ages his nerves system becomes weaker and more unstable that may bring about real difficulties to him personally and to his family. Sometimes terrible and unpredictable neurosis may become really dangerous so the best way out seems to be the proper control which undoubtedly requires special skills and medical education.

The special attention should be given to elderly persons’ food allowance. All the digesting processes slow down and as a result the organism consumes less nutritious elements. Old people move not so much as young ones so the kind of food should be sorted out especially precisely.

Precise and fuller information about care for disabled, the elderly and poor people you may find on bettercaring.com - a popular resource established by the Stationary Office in 2001 and nowadays run by specialists OLM Group. Here you will also find answer to all the question about care homes and hospices that trouble you.
