Flash video remixers allow users of the world’s most popular video sharing sites to splice their videos together with music, transitions, and other effects without requiring them to have special software on their computers. Thus, YouTube, Yahoo, MTV, Viacom are the video sharing sites that hold a contest which can be mixed in a new way according to your taste and dreams.
It’s not a secret two months back YouTube and MTV launched their new remixer tools powered by Adobe Premiere Express (almost identical to Photobucket’s remix tool) supports insertion of graphics, text and audio as well as overlays and in-video transitions. It’s very exciting to see Youtube utilizing the interactive capabilities of Flash Video.
How it works? Just drop in video sharing site’s remixer and everything will become clear. It will be easier for you if you already faced with Photobucket’s Remix tool, because loads of effects and graphics are similar. Why users should use it? Just to make the process of video editing easier and interesting! Video Remixer is catered for just about everybody, namely for amateurs and frequent customers!
PROS. Laptop and PCs users claim their video cards can’t support editing with some of the sw. Not everyone has access to software on their PCs that allows them to create customized home movies, and standalone applications for home use have a steeper learning curve. I’m not sure about mobile phones and media players that are also can be connected via the web to video sharing sites.
It would be interesting to know, for example, YouTube says: “If you’ve ever uploaded from your cell phone, wished for an easy way to add titles and transitions, or just wanted to remix your own videos, Remixer is a great place to play. It lets you assemble your new video in an easy drag-and-drop timeline, and then publish it right back to YouTube. Your original videos will stay exactly the same.”
Yahoo video remixer works similarly. YouTube follows such competitors as Photobucket and Yahoo Video, which offer similar tools. Photobucket, for instance, launched an Adobe-branded editor in February, and Yahoo acquired Jumpcut, a pioneer in Internet-based editing tools, last September. Viacom can’t boast of it’s a bit primitive and fun mixer at the same time, but it works properly on the new teen channel, the N. They developed this video mixer which lets you create mashups of clips from different shows on the N.

- It’s known Google makes money from ads. Now Google’s YouTube is expected to be the main point of the company’s expansion into video advertising. Factually, Google intends to increase profits by means of effective video advertising system by the end of the year.
Opinions & ideas:
- Google can’t get through with competitors like Viacom and gives away
- Google is launching a new startup
- By cheating extra money out of users (paid video clips) Google will create bad reputation and distrust. The worst way to treat customers.
- Google always gives users a great opportunity to choose: free videos (YouTube) or paid ones (Google video). Who is to be blamed?
- Some users don’t care about money, they need the service.

News and rumors about YouTube’s drawbacks and infringement flood the web. I believe even the slightest mention sets YouTube’s teeth on edge. At least every month we get to know loads of incredible news related to Google’s profitable investment.
Just last week Teachers Association complained about offensive material on this site. And this week starts all over again just like that. Remember Viacom’s legal proceeding? This is nothing compared with what is to come.
Japanese music and films coalition claims YouTube does nothing to stop illegal copyrighted video spreading. Most probably the coalition have a claim on YouTube due to the fact the video sharing giant launched a Japanese version in June.
“We demand that all copyrighted material be removed immediately…we want them to reset the service,” say the members of the coalition.
As far as I know the coalition has held two meetings with YouTube and Google staff this year and the video site responded to its requests last October by deleting 29,000 files from its service.
By the way, according to the Associated Press, YouTube spokesman told that the company is near the final stages of deploying a system to filter out copyrighted content which will be launched in September.

We have good news and bad news dedicated to the sphere of mobile service. As it turned out, mobile TV wasn’t called-for in corpore. Hope springs eternal in the human breast, therefore you can use mobile TV phones wirelessly watching TV with no regret. They are so stylish and popular that you just have to eager to get into the act.
Probably you’ll be thrown into confusion, but take heart! First off, mobile TV service (Virgin Mobile) is going to be suspended in the UK due to its uselessness. On the one hand, people so much got into the way of using free software, goods and services that they will unlikely give it up. Contrariwise, the service was based on the Digital Multimedia Broadcast standard and not the DVB-H standard.
In spite of the fact that the Digital Multimedia Broadcast is considered to be the major competitor of this technology (wikipedia claims), The European Union announced that it was backing DVB-H as the mobile TV standard across Europe. Europeans also don’t want to fail to keep pace with mobile life. The EU’s Commissioner is quoted as saying, “We can either take the lead globally - as we did for mobile telephony based on the GSM standard developed by the European industry - or allow other regions to take the lion’s share of the promised mobile TV market.”
Truly personal mobile video is now a reality. Transpera, a platform that provides online video publishers with an easy way for consumers to create, share and re-purpose video, confirmed that it raised a first-round of venture capital from First Round Capital, IDG Ventures, and Intel Capital. They say: “We provide easy ways to package and aggregate online video companies on deck to generate new value-added data services and subscription opportunities.”
MobiTV also added two new A&E mobile video channels, A&E announced. Besides MobiTV offers a wide variety of channels online and via your media device such as MSNBC, ABC News Now, FOX News Channel, Fox Sports, ESPN 3GTV, NBC Mobile, Bravo To Go, Sci Fi Pulse Mobile, Telemundo Mobile, Discovery Channel, TLC, The Weather Channel and others.
ESPN, MediaFLO USA and Verizon Wireless team up to deliver first mobile TV channel dedicated to Action Sports. Eight hours of live footage will be provided during the days of the event along with on-demand content. Users will see all of the extreme highlights via the “Best of the X Games”.
CNN, Yahoo, YouTube, Microsoft, etc. mobile live streaming video services are also at your disposal. For example, CNN is available on Sprint TV.
Keep up with the latest breaking news and stories on the go by means of one of the mobile services you prefer better. Using mobile video service you get benefits like these:
- streaming video
- video mail
- video chat and video conferencing
- mobile TV applications
Check out mobile TV phones featuring DVB-H standard and video media players. They allow you to watch and download videos and TV shows on the web via video sharing and news portals.

A brief glance at the past. eBaum’s World site was founded (as the source for the masses featuring media such as videos, Flash cartoons and web games) in 1998 by Eric Bauman.
According to paidContent, HandHeld Entertainment has purchased the popular video portal for $15 million in cash and another $2.5 million in stock. Current estimates suggest a possible total of $ 52.5 million in cash and stock over the next three years.
According to HandHeld, the user-generated site (the rest consider it as a stealing content portal tossing their watermarks on it, etc.) had about $5.2 million in revenue and $1.6 million net income in 2006.
Profy writes: “According to Michael Inouye, a research analyst with In-Stat, “HandHeld has instantly become one of the leaders in online video and user-generated content and is now rubbing shoulders with YouTube and the video networks of such companies as Yahoo!, Microsoft, AOL and Google.
Should we compare Yahoo!, Microsoft, AOL and Google with eBaum’s World and YouTube that are occasionally charged with stealing user-generated content or using illegal copyrighted material?!
