A
world cup is a global sporting competition in which the participant entities - usually national teams or individuals representing their nation - compete for the title of
world champion.
A world cup is generally considered the premier competition in its sport, with the victor attaining the highest honour in that sport and able to lay claim to the title of their sport’s best.
But today we are going to speak about football. It is widely considered to be the most popular sport in the world. The object of the game is to score by manoeuvring the ball into the opposing goal. A goal can be scored by a soccer ball. These soccer balls were presented to World Cup 2006, Germany. What will be next year?!
- The “Italy ball”, coated with several layers of jet-black stone, was made by Swarovski based on an idea by bora.herke.
Spontaneously and simply conceived, each country’s ball was based on a key characteristic from the designers’ point of view, designed with an ironic wink at the culture or the mentality of each of the 32 qualifying countries.
If you can’t find your country, go here.
Better be making tracks now.
A fan can be caught off-guard by this gadget
This is America where real football was stripped of its title long ago. What other way to celebrate than to drink beer? This beer cooler has enough room for six brewskies and is powered with a little bit of AC. It also includes a car adapter for beer cooling on-the-go, which we don’t condone at all. Being a soccer hooligan is no excuse for driving under the influence.
