The Republic of Belarus is situated in the center of Europe (they are lucky to live in such a place, but what special significance they take on?). The capital is the city of Minsk. Belarus borders on Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Russia and Ukraine. The territory of Belarus totals 207.6 thousand sq km. It stretches from west to east for 650 km and from north to south for 560 km. In comparison with other European countries, Belarus is slightly smaller than Great Britain and Rumania, 2.2 times as big as Portugal and Hungary and 5 times as big as the Netherlands and Switzerland.

What the Belarusians watch on TV (officially)

“Humor Cuisine” is an entertainment program about medicine, sport, politics, theater and other topics presented with a big deal of humor. It is hosted by Andrey Mukovozchik, popular Belarusian showman. He will be interviewing famous people of different professions. The audience will also enjoy humor polls on streets, re-sounding of popular films and records of the best Belarusian humor shows.

“Image Gallery” is an entertainment show about those helping shape up the Belarusian fashion and mold the image of a Belarusian. Show key guests are young fashion designers, stylists, photo artists. Image Gallery brings into focus national fashion trends, helps develop art creativity in youth, describes what state universities and colleges do to give the national fashion the look it has.

According to some opinions the Belarusian opposition and Belarusian president A.Lukashenko quarrel like cats and dogs.  The shot below I found in the net (it must be a president, but I’m not sure).
